Activate slideshow in homepage (wordpress 3.5)

Hello all!

I’m trying to activate the slideshow for the pinboard theme into my website but i don’t know how i can do it.
Can someone explain me step by step how i can do it?
I want to work with pages, no with entries (like blog).

hi, a question for the slide show: mine works BUT the first image when clicking on the landing page does not show the headline ;-( Later on, it shows, but with the first, it is only the image. What can i do?!
