    Can I rename the navigation menu on mobile devices to say menu instead of navigation?

    Yes, you can find that word in header.php, this line:

    <a class="nav-toggle" href="#">Navigation</a>

    Hi have done that but it hasn’t worked, any more suggestions?

    That is where the word is located, it’s the only occurrence of the word ‘Navigation’ in that file and if you replace it and upload the file to the server the name should change. If you have any caching plugins or server software the change will take some time to propagate, there’s no other solution for this.
