Some issues setting up this page.

I have a few issues setting up this page. They are listed here, so any help on these would be great.
1. How do you get a home link to show to the main page in the menu. I have a HOME page created but that takes me to the home page blog, not the MAIN PAGE.
2. When posting the pictures in the blog, I add a thumbnail to the featured image, this posts it to the gallery, but now when i view the picture/post, i see a thumbnail and a post altogether. How do i remove this thumbnail from the post?
3. What are the sizes of images that should be used in the POSTS as well as a Thumbnail size?
4. How do i remove the written by/on/filed under dialog box on top of the post, so it does not show here?
