Is there a way (or tutorial) on how I can create dedicated blog pages per categories and omit the general blog page that lists every post? I’d like to have no more than 5 major categories my posts fall under and a page for each listing only related posts. For instance, I want a page labeled Recipes and have all posts with recipes listed there, another labeled Photography with all related posts, etc. I don’t wish to display a blog page that lists all my posts. Can this be done?

AlexanderParticipantYou didn’t mentioned what you want instead of your general blog page or home page?
But to showing all your posts you can create a static landing page and assing it as the start page at “Settings/Reading”. In the menu you only show your dedicated blog pages than.

Ultimately, I want a ‘front page’ that currently is my Blog page and CAN show an assortment of posts from all categories. On this front page, I have a slider and 2 columns of posts and 1 side bar. Then, I want to create pages to show in my menu that are organized by categories. For instance, I’d like a page labeled Holidays and on that page will be all posts with a Holiday category, another labeled Photography with posts just from the Photography category, etc. Can this be done?
Thanks for the time!
RedBoneGypsyParticipantHello – I figured this one out!!! For anyone who wants to do the same, the key is the menu feature. On the left side, there are many sections you can add to your menu including “Category”. Each category created is available to add to menu. Once that menu is organized, saved and activated, only posts that have that category selected will show up under that menu label.
