how to change the number of row in post preview at home page.

In the home page of this sample site http://demo.onedesigns.com/pinboard/
Every post will display 3~4 rows to preview.
But when I used this theme, I can only display one row.
I tried to edit content.php file and find the_excerpt() function to controll preview maybe.
But it doesn’t work.

So, how can I change the number of row in post preview?
