    Hi. I am having a problem with the display of text widget content in the 3rd column of the footer. I have it set to 3 columns and have a text widget in columns 2 & 3. The behavior is different depending upon the browser. In IE there is a 2 line gap between the title and my 1st link. In FF and Chrome there is no gap but it is displaying the widget title with the same color characteristics as the links, instead of white text it is colored, and it displays red when you hover over the title. In Safari on a mobile device it appears to be fine. Any ideas how I can resolve this?

    Hi dgw2290,

    Do you have a living example?

    Cheers,

    The coding in the widgets at the middle and on the right side seems to be broken.

    Alexander,

    Yeh right, I can’t understand what happened. I am running a child theme which I haven’t modified. When I switch back to the parent theme everything is fine. I updated to WP 3.5 recently but I can’t figure how that could have caused the problem. Maybe I should try deleting and recreating the child theme?

    I tried deleting and reinstalling the child theme. http://sous-les-sapins.com/
    The theme installed ok but is not displaying any of the style of the original theme. This is what I have in the stylesheet of the child.
    /*
    Theme Name: Pinboard Child
    Description: Pinboard Child Theme
    Author: Doug W.
    Template: pinboard
    */

    @import url(“../pinboard/style.css”);

    Any ideas what I may be doing wrong here?
    Thanks so much for taking the time to look at this.

    Hi,

    I think the css file path is missing. I tried it with “inspect elment” in Chrome.

    Is this what you want?

    Thanks. I changed the caps to lower case and that fixed it. However, I still haven’t solved my original problem with the footer displaying text widgets. There is something broken in the coding but I have not altered anything in the stylesheet.
    Any clue what might be causing this problem?
    Thanks again
    Doug
