I’m sure this has been posted before but I could not find a thread in my searching. So please bear with me.
I have been having some issues with getting the gallery post type to work correctly. Like the one on the same site – http://demo.onedesigns.com/pinboard/?p=174 Perhaps I am just not adding in the assets correctly.
The main issue is that the homepage thumbnail collage is not showing up at all.
The first time I made a gallery it worked. But I uploaded the new post from my BlackBerry using the wordpress app. When I author a post through the web interface I can’t get the homepage thumbnail collage to show up.
When creating a new gallery post should I just be adding single assets into the post or can I use the built in wordpress gallery from media manager?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry I don’t have an example of this post on my site. I have a test site that I am working through at the moment but it’s just running on my local machine.

ErikI am really not sure exactly what you ask about so maybe I´m giving wrong answer… But I had trouble with getting my gallery in the same way as the link you attached and I finally realized it was due to I had not chosen
Create “new post” – “add media” – “create gallery” (here I forgot to change by my self the first time) – choose your pictures – “create new gallery”. That gives the look as in your attached link. I use the built in gallery and I do not upload them first to media manager, I just insert them directly into the post.I though don’t get the thumbs for each gallery to appear, even if I chose the defined pictures for every gallery. Or sometimes I do, but they look really ugly. So please let me know if you find out 🙂

Thanks for the reply. I think your last point actually touches on my issue. When I add a gallery I can’t get the thumbnails to show up on the homepage as the “featured” images.

ErikTry adding directly by adding images, rather than choosing from image gallery.
I found as well that I could not get the collage show on the home page category by adding pix directly from the image gallery. Only when inserting directly from the local drive… Interesting behaviour….
