This is my first attempt at a wordpress blog so please bear with me … the home page has the ‘landing page’ template selected, and I created sticky posts of images which show great in the slider on the home page. The problem is that I don’t see anything underneath the slider that looks like the demo. When I switch the template to something else the slider goes away. I’d like to have posts on the left and then on the right have an image like the ‘elegant themes’ ad and a feed for ‘mini tweets’ like you have in the demo. I’ve looked in this forum for a similar topic but it seems I’m having the opposite problem than most others. Here’s my link –> http://wpoilfield.gtweed.com — what am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance for your help.
Hi Eibhlin,
the static pages you added to the menu are not shown in the grid. Only articles do.
Cheers,

How do I create ‘articles’ then?
Are they created using a plugin?
Also make sure that in “settings->reading” the “Front page display” the “Posts page:” choose your blog page” is ticked.
I think I got it now, the settings were what was messing me up. Thanks!
