While trying to activate certain popular widgets to the right sidebar (by using top sidebar on widget site), they fail to show on front page with the following error code:
call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, non-static method EXTENSION_NAME::_init() should not be called statically on line 406 in file /SERVER/stable/wp-includes/plugin.php
From what I can gather by googling is that theme is broken and something is missing from it’s functions.php. Or am I missing something here?
I would be very glad to receive help on this one. I’m using latest WordPress (3.5.x), Nginx, with FPM/FastCGI (5.4.12-1~precise+1). There is nothing on Nginx log related to this.
More problems with widgets, they do not show up:

Basically any widget I have so far downloaded do no show up.
All compatible with this version of WP (latest as today).
What could be wrong, and how can I fix it?
Thanks.
Usually errors like that occur when the theme or a plugin you are using was not tested against the latest version of WordPress. Regardless, if they appear when activating widgets then they are generated by the plugins that register those widgets and not the theme.
