moving the social media buttons and search to below the navigation

I love the design of Pinboard – it is just what I have been looking for! I have three questions:

Is it possible to move the social media/search icons to below the navigation bar?

In my sidebar menu, I am able to change the links color, but not the links hover color – it seems to stay the default reddish color.

Is there anyway to change the grey drop down box colors on the navigation bar to another color? If so, Where?
