How to get the homepage into theme

Hi Daniel and team,

I’m either a developer nor a designer. This is my first time trying to build a site. The furthest I’ve gotten is to create an image slider. Please tell me how I can create the posts that go below that with images as it appears on your demo. Note the posts I look to put there are just for the homepage, not necessarily the blog (unless the two must be interlinked.)
