Creating link to BLOG without home page image sliders

Using another thread (Thanks!) i got a static home page slider working and also created a menu item that links to the actual blog. That link shows all posts with a certain category = blog. But when i click that link to the blog, i want it to just go to the blog posts and NOT show another slider. right now it shows another image slider, just like my home page, which i dont want besides being a bit confusing…check out our site here: http://sviwg.org/
