disable comments on Posts

    I see how you can disable comments on Pages, but can comments be disabled on Posts? Ideally, I would like to disable comments on posts in one specific category.

    In the editing screen of your post, click screen options in the top right corner.

    There you should see a box with “Discussion” next to it, if it’s not ticked, tick it.

    Scroll down until you see the little dropdown menu thing called Discussion, if you open that up, you should see a box which says: Allow comment. Untick that, and you’re good to go!

    Under Settings -> Discussion there’s also the option to make the default setting regarding comments on articles/posts.
