Block quotes and styling (Home Page)

    If I create a post in standard format and use an italic styling and block quotes. It previews and displays fine in it’s own category.

    Then the front page fed version comes out plain and without any styling like the main post has..

    Is this normal? Can I fix it?

    That’s because it displays the excerpt instead of the content. If you want to extract the blockquote you need to to use the quote post format.
