ParticipantHi – great theme!
I’d like my home page to have a slider on top and 3 static posts below. Each post represents one product I offer. Something like this: http://blog.liveyoursport.com, but without the right sidebar.
The slider is working with sticky posts. I can’t get a grid to show beneath the slider. My home page is using Landing Page; on reading settings I’ve set Static Page with Portfolio for posts. I’ve setup three posts with the Portfolio category.
I’ve gone through the entire support forum looking for help with my front page without luck. Here’s my URL: http://www.ericlowitt.com
Thank you,

KeymasterTry using the “Boxes” sidebar, it does just that, display 3 boxes of content beneath the slider. If you need to display a page there I recommend you use the plugin Page in Widget.

ParticipantThank you Daniel. Your advice certainly got me closer, but not quite there yet. The posts marked ‘Portfolio’ – the three ‘product’ posts I always want up – now appear, but in a vertical column instead of in a horizontal row. I created a page called ‘Portfolio’, using the Portfolio template, and posts with the Portfolio category. When I used the Page in Widget plugin, and designated the Portfolio page, nothing appeared. So I switched to Posts in Sidebar plugin, which displays the posts categorized as Portfolio , but vertically instead of horizontally.
So either I set up my Portfolio page incorrectly or I’m missing a bit of logic to get the Portfolio posts to appear horizontal: http://www.ericlowitt.com
Thank you!

KeymasterYou need to add 3 separate widgets, one for each post. Try finding a plugins that allows display of a single post in a widget.

ParticipantHi SupergarEo,
The box underneath is the “Wide” Widget available in the WIdgets page. Just drag a Text Widget into it & type your message.
Hope this helps.

Participanthello, i am trying to do something really similar to the original poster, except without the Wide Widget. but the information in the Boxes is appearing above the content of the main page. Can anyone help me fix this so the boxes appear underneath the content (i intend to put a photo slider where the current ‘welcome’ text is)
