Can someone tell me how to fix this problem? I get this error code in the Google stuctured data testing tool when I test for authorship markup.
Error: Missing required hCard “author”
If it involves replacing code, I need very specific instructions on what to replace with what.
Thanks!

Daniel TaraKeymasterYou don’t need hCard “author” and “updated” field for authorship markup, that’s for Schema markup.
I explained what you need to do to set up authorship markup here. What’s really important is to have a link containing
rel="author"
that links to your Google+ profile. That’s why I suggested you edit the link to your Google+ profile in the Bio section and either addrel="author"
to the link markup or append?rel=author
to the URL.BlissfulMissParticipantThanks for your reply Daniel.
I changed the link in my bio section and Google still says page does not contain authorship markup. In the other thread I had replied to your reply with more questions and never heard back. One of which was how to add the link you gave to the <head>. So that’s not there yet.
Also, I’d still like to fix the h card and updated errors even they aren’t required for authorship.
BlissfulMissParticipantI got authorship working!
I had put one of the links you suggested in my author bio, but realized maybe the Google+ link I have in a text widget in my footer should be changed as well. Now Google sees my authorship. π
Still wanting to fix the hcard and updated errors though.
Thanks for your help with authorship.
Daniel TaraKeymasterI’m not an expert in schema markup, I can’t help you further. I’m sorry.
