Where have ControlNav & directionNav gone?

I’ve just updated the Pinboard theme and realized that arrows on the slider are back. I actually expected it to happen because I’m not using child-theme, but I knew how to remove it by following the instruction on this forum:

So, I looked for “ControlNav” & “DirectionNav” in function.php. But I couldn’t find it. Did I miss them?

If they are gone, how do I remove the arrows and the play/pause thing?
