Diminishing Slider Text Size When Viewing on Mobile Devices

Hi,

I noticed that when I open a Pinboard site on a mobile device, the text on the slider takes up the lower 2/3rds of the feature image. Wondering if there’s a way to minimize the text area further, to just the lower 1/3rd.

This isn’t usually a problem and looks good on this site: mysecurefence.com

However, now I’m working on a site with a slider text background that is jet black, no opacity. Looks good on the mock up, but on a mobile phone, it blocks out 2/3rds of the entire slide.
