someone has just told me the conflict is Javascript related and a bug in the 3.9 and the 3.9.1 wordpress. not the theme.
I thought i would return to this question as i have uploaded some more audio – full width player, fine, but with no minutes / time showing at all on post.
in backend, in the audio file its shows how it should look like. in the backend of post it doesnt show at all – blank until you click on the location of audio player in backend of post and a kind of ghost version shows up.
i would just like to know where the 00:00 ‘s are gone to and why they are not showing?

if i change theme to twenty twelve – its shows the player correctly with 00:00 ..but smaller, not full width, which isnt nice. but the 00:00 are there.

Then maybe you misspelled your domain name or have some security layer blocking me. I can’t even ping it from 2 locations.

Apparently there is a general bug with the audio shortcode and the theme. It will be fixed in the next version.

my domain name is joanwalsh.ie and i added www months ago… i was on shared hosting with my brother, but he has now set up a separate account with letshost for me. so i have emailed him the details you shared with me and will ring him / hosting later.
i know two friends in USA had no problem seeing my site and also friends in UK and Ireland.
i think it must be the www added causing the problem. ? hope to sort that soon.

If you look at the report above you’ll see I pinged the domain without the www. I incline to think it’s some security or firewall setting.
i pinged it myself (had to google it to find out how) and yes you are correct. i pinged someone else’s site and all was fine. now why is this i am wondering, is it my firefox settings, firewall ? something i will have to google on…. thanks for pointing this out to me daniel.

It’s probably a firewall or proxy server. If you can access your website from a browser but just can’t ping it it’s not much of a concern but I personally can’t access it in any way.

I have been researching all sorts of playlist options.
I realise there will be audio / theme fix coming in the next update though, and that will be great.
I also tried Cue http://audiotheme.com/view/cue/ – there is a conflict there also unfortunately, shows the playlist, but no top part with play / pause button, so won’t play. but not to worry at the mo.
