Please help. I am new to this.

My blog page posts are now overlapped and obscured by side bar info, but only on the blog page, no matter what page layout I choose for the News/blog page. Why is this happening? The site is http://friendsofjcmc.org/newsblog/

I am having the same difficulty. Unfortunately, I can’t post my example as I had to abandon Pinboard theme in order to keep my site up and running. I know that this problem has existed for me since 3.9.1 was released. Any help tracking down this problem would be deeply appreciated.

    Thanks!

I, too, am not very good at this.

Having exact same problem on my blog (category) pages only as well – my main Pages are fine. Best I could figure out after hours of working at this is that it’s related to the positioning of the full posts and the grid (smaller thumbnails). They’re all just being set to sit on top of one another.

I tested and changed my usually right sidebar, and flipped it to the left sidebar layout. This helped a little bit visually, but only in the sense that the grid of my posts is at least not sitting on top of my sidebar. (So if someone’s new to my site, they wouldn’t realize that they can’t see the dozens of posts under the single one showing.) But it still has all of my posts gridded on top of each other like yours, labisca2012.

This happened when I upgraded to wordpress 3.9.2…ironically, I hadn’t updated in almost a year for the specific reason of blowing everything up, but decided to give it a go today. FAIL.

Hope someone can post a style css quick fix or the like soon. I don’t know how to read code to find where we should be overriding the new setting that’s making them stack like this!

When the page loads, you see what my page is supposed to look like for a brief second before all the posts stack on top of one another…

    Fixed it.

Upgraded Pinboard to version 1.1.8, and it completely fixed it w/o messing anything up.

    Good luck!

    1531bkt,

That’s great. I haven’t created a child theme, only made customizations to CSS through the theme options customization panel under layout. Will these customizations get lost if I upgrade?

I wish I could say the same. I have the same issue with 1.1.8.

I may uninstall and then reinstall to see if that helps.

Yea, my css changes in the Layout tab all stayed.

I know exactly how you feel. I was afraid my changes I made would be gone too, but then, I figured, how much worse could it get? So I clicked Update and prayed… πŸ™‚

    Hope it works for you.

Hopefully, one of the designers of Pinboard will weigh in on this.

I updated Pinboard and it corrected the problem.
