Top-level menu duplicated as submenu

    I am trying to create a top menu item with a sub menu.
    I have created atop menu item “Destinations” with custom link that is empty.
    I have then added a sub-menu item “Patagonia” which is a category sub menu.
    I got the top main item duplicate as an additional sub menu.

    Instead of:

    Destinations
    —– Patagonia

    I got:
    Destinations
    —– Destinations
    —– Patagonia

    I had the same issue.

    Set ‘Destinations’ as a custom link with a target of ‘#’. This will prevent it from appearing in the sub menu.
