Remove self-pings

    Hi Daniel, back and still happy with Cover-WP.

    I’d like to eliminate self-pings – which turns out a comment when I link to my own posts. When I tried a fix suggested elsewhere (inserting code into functions.php) it crashed my site.

    Reluctant to do this with a plugin as I am trying to be conservative with plugins. But don’t know if this is overly cautious.

    Suggestions welcome.

    Under Settings > Discussion uncheck “Allow link notifications from other blogs (pingbacks and trackbacks.) ” and to reverse the logic “Attempt to notify any blogs linked to from the article. “

    Who would make a plugin for something like this?

    But the reason I didn’t use that is, I DO want to allow link notifications from other blogs…. just not from my own…
