Gallery issues

Posts with the gallery format display the gallery of attached images, on 3 columns, and also offers a lightbox for full screen preview.

The issue is that when I choose the gallery settings as Image File instead of Attachment Page, it opens the pictures in its default upload location (/wp-content/uploads). I need to be able to open the image and still have access to the gallery thumbnails below the picture.

    How can I do this?

Don’t use the [gallery] shortcode, just attach the images and set the gallery post format.

Thanks for the advice, but when I do that i only get 2 thumbnails under the image after clicking from the original picture gallery. This would work great if instead of the 2 thumbnails (previous and next image) it would display all of the thumbnails. Is there such way?

Are you using the gallery post format? It should work without issues.

same for me, selecting gallery format seems to have no effect whatsoever =/

It does have an effect if you have images attached to the post and don’t use the [gallery] shortcode.

For the “Feature Image”, does it have to be an exact size? Because it is now showing the whole image, can this be fixed?

Does there have to be any specific size for the “feature image’? Because the whole image is not showing up; can this be fixed?

OK, so I have an issue, and I think this is the place to ask for help. I am using the Minimatica theme, and I just added a Links page, and now that I have done that, every panel in my gallery slider now directs to the links page. I don\’t know what happened, I haven\’t touched the page that directs to the gallery, but considering it\’s a photography website, it is a bit impaired by this issue, and any help in resolving it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks -Scott
