Gravatar http api calls still calling even though disabled in plugin

Hi there,

It’s come to my attention with query monitor that even when the gravatar disabled option is selected, it still calls them, which is quite time consuming when they are 404s especially.

I notice this with WP Discuz – they use the default get_avatar: https://wpdiscuz.com/community/troubleshooting/wpdiscuz-without-gravatar/

Is there a way to fix this inside your plugin?
