Hi, I would like to add pages to the bottom of the home page, and call them “contact us”, “latest news”, etc.

so far, I’ve only been able to link one page, called “about the author”. Its parent page is “Sample”, which I’ve since deleted, so basically I don’t know:

    1) WHAT “about the author” is linked to,
    2) HOW it got linked to the homepage, and
    3) HOW I can link other pages in the same way.

I just want a nice row underneath my slider, with the option to click on 3 pages and get information.

Can you help me with this? Fabulous theme, btw.

    thanks,
    Beth

Hi Solielkisser, On my site: janjaapvanassen.com I made a page called ‘about me’ after this you go to the appearance/menu tab in the wordpress dashboard. Here I made my own custom menu where you can add pages, categories and URLs to your menu. So you just have to make a page called contact us then make a custom menu where you add the contact us page

thanks!! I knew it was a simple answer, it just eluded me. I like your site. mine is more simple because I’m just starting out selling a book, but I wish I could incorporate more beautiful photos. thanks again. http://reflectradiateaffirmations.com/

quick extra question Jan. on my pages, if I add a picture, like your “about you” picture, the picture appears on top of the post. how did you get rid of the picture, but still have it in your post?

I figured it out! for anyone else confused, I’ll tell you how I did it. on the right side of the page where you edit your post, in the Format box, I switched it from Gallery to Video. then updated the post so the change takes effect.
