Homepage slider and nextgen plugin

Hi everyone and first thank you for this great template it’s exactly what i was looking for.
I’ve read on the forum and i understand that to see the picture on the homepage slide we must upload “directly” the picture but is it possible to use a picture from the “nextgen plugin” gallery??
I just change for this template and i think it’s more convenient to use picture that i already uploaded instead of upload again one by one all the picture.
