Can anyone help me make a gallery of thumbnail images, so when I click the thumbnail it opens in a lightbox.
eg. http://gregaitkenheadphotography.com/
Click on a link from his frontpage slider and it opens a thumbnail gallery. That’s what I want on my site.
This guy has given me some advice on how he did it, but I can’t get it to work. Can anyone else help?I can make a post linked to the slider. The problem is that I cannot make a page/post full of thumbnails that open in a lightbox.
I set the post style to “gallery”, upload some images (and they do appear in the “gallery” tab on the Add Media pop-up) but they don’t appear in the post.
If I hit “insert Gallery”, it creates an outline on my post in the admin screen (I can click and edit this), but still nothing shows up in the published post.
The only way I can get the images to show in the post is by Inserting them directly into the post. But they still don’t open in the lightbox.Can anyone help?
Thanks. After a bit of searching, I’ve tried using this lightbox plug-in:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/jquery-lightbox-for-native-galleries/I can now get the Featured Image to show in the lightbox – but only if I set the post format to something other than Gallery. Other images on the post will open as a new page (link a normal internet link) but not in the lightbox.
If I go to the add media popup, it shows my pictures are in the Gallery tab. Should I need to do anything more to make them appear as thumbnails on the page, and work with the lighbox? Have I set that bit up properly, and my problem lies with the implementation of the plugin, not my page?
I’m really struggling with this!
Hey Tim–not to be a creeper, but I saw that you were still working on this so I dug a little further into my site. This might or might not help, but I\’m using a plugin called Yet Another Photoblog–I forgot–thought it was just something I installed when I was getting it figured out but wasn\’t really using, but maybe its working in the background to create the thumbnail gallery.
Here are my settings. The only ones that seemed important are at Dashboard>>Settings>>YAPB>>Automatic Image Insertion. I don\’t remember changing any of the default settings. All of the boxes are checked except the last, the dropdown with the 2nd box has \”without target,\” the fourth has \”200\” px, the 6th has \”460\” px, and the 8th has \”100\” px.
That\’s the only thing I can think of–hope this helps. If it does I would love it if you post one more comment on GregAitkenheadPhotography and tell everyone how you figured it out.

It looks like my problem is not just limited to Minimatica. I can’t get a Gallery to appear at all, after trying a few different plugins, themes, browsers and PCs.
I’ve started a new thread on the WordPress forum, that isn’t just limited to Minimatica, to see if anyone at all can help.
