Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere, I’ve looked at all 40 pages and haven’t seen the answer. I’ve also looked at the very helpful user guide and the sample site doesn’t have the categories drop down above the menu. I’d like to get rid of it as well, but can’t figure out how.
Can anyone explain how to do this? I have no knowledge of CSS, my programming skills ended with Basic in the 80s and HTML in the 90s, so I’ll need to be walked through it.

nicoleg–go to Dashboard>>Appearance>>Widgets, click on the “Footer” dropdown, and delete (or drag & drop) “Categories.” Does that do the trick?
Ah, brilliant. It didn’t even occur to me that it might be a widget, I was looking at the footer file.
