Just the image

I want to show only images in the gallery section, so I’m loading the images into the gallery and then adding them to a post. I want to be sure that each image has the creative commons licensing listed in the post. Is there any way to have that total show up on the hover over in the gallery but not the text. In other word, I only want the image to show up on the main page, but the image and the text to show up on the individual post page.
