Slider within post page

Hi Daniel and All,
I’m currently struggling with a part of the website i’m creating. I’ve got 8 posts, 4 with categories (let’s call them A, B, C and D) and 3 posts (X, Y and Z) with sub-categories of category C. I’d like the main page to display the slider with the featured images for ABC and D, and when clicking on C, getting another slider with the posts XYand Z. Is that possible somehow ? I’ve only managed to organize the posts so ABCD are displayed first, and XYZ on the second page.
