Hi Guys,
Do you know how i can add blog posts without adding it to front page slider ?
Cheers
AnthonyDavideGParticipantI was looking for the same thing. I thought only “uncategorized” posts would appear in first slider so I created a new cat, like “blog” and a new post for it with just some text inside. Unfortunately now the main slider shows up this post aswell.
DavideGParticipantAfter a more in-deep search inside this forum I was able to catch an easy and fast solution:

aerialadvantageParticipantI want the post to remain in the Blog after adding it ? If i exclude it from slider it doesn’t show up in blog.
Cheers
DavideGParticipantNot quite sure to understand the problem here. By using the plugin I was able to “include” only a specific kind of category for post in home page, let’s say “featured”. As far as I can see now the behavior of the normal posts remains unchanged.
Try to describe the problem or link an example site.
aerialadvantageParticipantok so lets say i want to add a post that will be viewable in the blog page but not viewable on the slider.
Example:http://aerialadvantage.com.au/exclude/this-is-an-example-test/ this is excluded from the front page slider but i want it to be viewable here on the blog page but excluded from slider. So as an example if i wanted to make a post without an image

DavideGParticipantAs far as I understand, the solution offered by using the Widget do exactly what you would look for. In this case, the example post has to be under “blog” category (you create it) while posts you want to appear in the slider will go under a different one, say “slider” or “featured”.
Using the widget, upper part, you’ll choose the specified category allowed in the home page, in this case “slider/featured”. And from now on any new blog article just need to be assigned under “blog” cat. in order to avoid inclusion in the slider.
