Sidebar issue

When I change my page layout to include a layout with only one sidebar, the left and right sidebars appear together. For example, content/sidebar layout results in content/left sidebar/right sidebar, and sidebar/content results in left sidebar/right sidebar/content. I read your post about using the sidebar top for the left widget, and ended up with the same problem. I love this theme and want to use it for production, but this only happens in the Esplanade theme, not others. I appreciate your reply.
