Exactly as it says, currently the homepage images link to posts, however I want the images to link to my pages instead.
Any ideas?
Cheers.
digerati9ParticipantWhen do you expect the next release? If it will be a while, do you have an advice on how to accomplish this manually in the mean time?
THanks!
Daniel TaraKeymasterThe release is a major iteration and I have been working on it for a while now. It’s about 70% complete, still have to add some features and fix some annoying bugs.
mdwedingtonParticipantHi, Daniel — Love this theme and have found it really amazingly easy to navigate as a complete novice to WordPress. Thanks for your amazing work. Count me another voice for front-page images that could be pages, or categories for posts. Keep it up, and thanks!
gavintfnParticipantfor now the simple solution if dont want to mess with code is a plugin… If your only doing a couple…
here is the link:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/quick-pagepost-redirect-plugin/ddulinParticipantHi Daniel,
Thanks for the support! I downloaded the plugin you recommended above. So would I be using the Quick Redirect menu, since this is temporary until the new release? Also, what happens if I post a new blog entry–since it appears the slider lists each panel chronologically, does that mean a new blog entry will bump those entries that redirect to pages?
Thanks!
PCChParticipantYes, you use the redirect section, below where you edit the post, to redirect the posts to the pages you want displaying on the slider.
To set which posts display in the slider so that they are permanent, in other words, they do not change when you publish new posts, use a plugin such as WP Filter Post Category:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-filter-post-categories/
Then, create a category, such as “slider,” and in the plugin settings page, select only the category “slider” to show on the the home (or post) page. Then assign the posts that you want in the slider (in this case, the posts you have redirecting to pages) to that category.

tpeilaParticipantNot sure if you ever found an answer to this but I use the Redirect Custom Feilds
