I dont seem to have a ‘Sticky’ option to add my posts to to make the slider work.
Any idea what I may be missing or why its not an option?Daniel… the whole front page doesnt seem to be working. The slider, the grid, the posts, the sidebar… nothing. Cannot figure out what is wrong. Any ideas?

Make sure you have that checked and you follow Daniels instructions above.If you are using a static front page you can use the “Landing Page” template to also display the slider.
I spent a long time trying to figure out how to get the slider to display images. “sticky” post is a check off under the Public visibility option. I uploaded a test image that was the same one used in the theme demo. I could see the slider controls but no image in the slider. I did three of these thinking the slider might require three images before displaying, but that wasn’t the problem. I deleted a previous theme thinking it created a conflict in the code. I tried the image as full size not a thumbnail. Nothing worked. After an hour of trial and error, the only way I can get the image to appear in the slider is to select “featured image” when first uploading the image. That seems to do the trick. If you don’t do that step upon upload, I can’t find where you can make an image a “featured image” in a blog post after the fact. Hopefully, if others are having the same problem, this is helpful information. If I’m missing something about how the slider control is meant to work, please let me know.
How do you use the “Landing Page” template to also display the slider since you can’t mark pages as sticky, and you can’t put a featured image on a page?
I have followed all suggestions above, and am unable to product desired results.
A detailed tutorial demonstrating all steps necessary to add a sticky post should be provided.
