Hi, I really like the Pinboard theme and are going to use it on my page http://www.reiss.cc. However, I found that on my portfolio pages, which contain images as galeries, the wordpress carousel function which let’s me click through all images from the gallery is no longer working. Only a full screen display of single images is possible.
As it seems some theme functionality is overruling wordpress standard. Is there a way to change this back to “standard” without using Pinboard functionality for galleries? So far I haven’t found a switch for this.

In my blog it used to be like this, that when for example I click on page http://www.reiss.cc/portfolio-2/daheim/ on one of the images, it would show up as an overlay with Carousel functionality. But now, nothing happens, a new page opens, which was not the case before, followed by the picture shown on an empty, white page.
Seems as the library is kind of blocked.
What are the settings on your blog for the Carousel and the theme? BTW: I’m using the latest version of WP (3.4.1).

StefanI see now. When creating the gallery make sure to select “Images link to file” or if you’re inserting the shortcode manually then add the parameter link=”file”
Now it works partially. However, I have to click on the image two or three times before the lightbox actually opens, which is not intended. Before it would show me the image on a plain browser page.
Second thing is that not the actual carousel plugin is used but I assume some libraries from the theme, which are not as function rich. Is there a way to use the original wordpress function instead? This gives me “fit to screen” and “toggle between images” right away.
I works just as it should for me. It uses Colorbox as the lightbox library. I am not aware of any built-in script that comes with WP and has this functionality.
Thanks for the comment with Colorbox I will check this. The Carousel function comes with the WP Jetpack extension.
