I’ve set it to post as an image, and I’ve also just tried publishing an image but they’re just black boxes on my home screen that show the title when I mouse over. I’ve tried with different posts and different galleries, help!
I don’t understand what you mean by “set it to post as an image” or “publishing an image.”
The slider displays images that are set as featured images in posts. When you create a post, you need to scroll to the bottom of the sidebar on the right side of the post edit screed and set a featured image in the Featured Image area. That image should display in the slider.
