Completed posts link to a generic empty page?

I think I am missing something quite basic here. I am new to wordpress and minimatica but have been figuring a lot of it out through tooling around and tutorials. I have created a post and a few pointless test posts in order to fill the 4 slots on my home page slider.They show up in the slider just fine. Picture and the first few lines of text all look great when expanding but whenever I click on them they send me to a generic empty blog page with an empty comment box. Is there an option somewhere that is pointing my posts to this page? I just want to be able to see the full post i have written when clicking on the slider image or the blog image I posted.
