How to mix portfolio and blog posts in homepage?

    Some other themes have the option to customize the parts of the home page. Is there a way to have the top part a specific post or blog entry, then followed by the portfolio.

    I’m guessing the obvious option is to hard code it into a template file, but wondering if there’s an easier / quicker way to do it.

    I may consider this for a future version. Currently there’s no quick way to di it.
