Issues with custom post types

Hello.

I posted this on the wordpress forum but found out now that this was the official support forum for the theme, so I’ll ask here.

I’m trying to set up a couple of custom post types in a child theme, but when I try browser the custom post type’s archive, the grid adjusts incorrectly. Widgets can end up beneath the posts on a small screen etc.

In the child theme I haven’t done anything else but to try add two post types.
