I don’t have a twitter widget option. Is this missing or do I have to download a separate plugin for it? If the latter, what plug in would you recommend (i.e. what plugin is being used on the demo)?

you have to download your own widget. The one used in the demo you can easily find by looking for “mini tweet”.Hope this helps,
