Can you please tell me HOW TO

    1) embed a self-hosted video?
    a) in a post
    b) on a page

The Pinboard theme seems to have pre-installed video stuff as there is some media player java script stuff in the theme’s scripts folder.
I tried it with video format post, but the output is always just a hyperlink to the mp4 file. And, how can I embed a video in PAGE?

    2) change the size of an embedded youtube video?
No matter which width or height I set in the iframe tag, it always embeds the video in full width of the post area.

I’ve tried for hours, without success.
    Thanks a lot.

    Hi staud,

1a) Try to check the following:

    – Choose the video template in the post in case you want to show it on the blog page too
    – Choose the URL of the media file when selecting from the mediathek in the pop-up

1b) Try to check the following

    – Choose the URL of the media file when selecting from the mediathek in the pop-up

    2) On youtube click on “Share”, than on “Embed” and copy & paste THIS code into the HTML editor (not WYSIWYG) of WP. There you find width and height of the iframe who is hosting the embedded frame.

    Cheers,

Whenever I try to put in an iframe from youtube it’s stripped off and nothing shows up.
The video only shows if I insert the URL but in this case the size is just going crazy and on the blog page the video shows up too big…
