It is due to a bug that will be fixed in the next release, thank you for helping us discover it. For the moment you can add it in the “Entry Content” hook instead of “Entry Header” and it will not display the extra code or you can enable “Thumbnail Header Image” under Theme Options > General and it will display above the post.
