I am having the same problem with the avatar image not showing up. I have changed the shortcode to [avatar user=”current”] but that didn’t help. I’ve put the shortcode into an image block but the avatar doesn’t appear. I have a fallback value in the field that would normally show up if the shortcode returned a null value but it doesn’t appear so there must be some kind of value coming from the shortcode.
