Add message to front page

    Does anyone know how to add a Welcome message like this site has: http://www.grafix.org/

    I can\’t locate where it would be. I tried the footer but the words showed under the menu.

    I believe the author of that website hard coded that welcome message. There is no way to add such a message in this theme.
