    Howdy

Is there a way to add audio mp3s (that are larger than 2mb,) to a category page, and to have the player shown as a feature? I’m trying to add them by uploading the mp3 and referencing them within the post…but it doesn’t render…

However, when I add a small mp3 (less than 2mb,) to the media gallery, THEN reference it…it works.

The problem is, I have a playlist of audio files…and they are all above 2mb…

    Any work arounds?

Yes, there is a workaround if you’re trying to add audio MP3s larger than 2MB to a category page and want the player to display properly. The issue usually stems from your server’s upload limit, which restricts larger files from being added directly to the media library. To bypass this, you can use FTP or your hosting file manager to manually upload the files to your wp-content/uploads directory, and then use a plugin like “AudioIgniter” or a shortcode to embed them on your category page. This method is especially useful if you’re sharing a playlist converted from sources like youtube to mp3, where file sizes often exceed 2MB. Once uploaded, referencing the correct URL in your audio player shortcode should render the player as intended.
