Hi! I am a beginner with wordpress and themes, so please excuse me if my question is very simple.
Here is my site: http://cathywu.com/journal/treadling/ with a thumbnail and entry title. I would like to add the date of the post to the top right corner of each thumbnail. I am not sure where to start. It is not a CSS file, right? A .php file? And then I become lost. Is it index.php or content.php that I need to edit? And (sorry) is there a link to somewhere that can explain how I would add the date? I’m not very good at understanding the code. I figure I have to put “entry-date” somewhere, but i just don’t know where or how.

I would like to know this as well. I would like to add dates to the front page posts, also modify the post boxes.
Cathy, which file did you edit to get your dates to show up? It looks like you’re almost there, but the image shows up behind it, you might be able to position the image lower, I think I saw it in the style.css, but Im not entirely sure.

I ended up editing functions.php and then adding to the .css file.
