Hello,
I just downloaded you theme. Thought the slider at the top of thew page would look great! Problem, there is no evidence of a slider option, menu, area, section, ANYwhere! Was there a problem with the download? This is very frustrating to me, I’m a complete noooob to the max, but this is kind-a silly. No slider anywhere. I’ve been searching for over a week for a good theme, thought this would finally be the answer. Any help would be most appreciated!
Thanks in advance.Scott
Daniel TaraKeymasterThe slider is the default posts loop. Just add some posts and it will appear. Make sure you don’t have any plugins conflicting with JavaScript.
srspicerParticipantI have 8 pages so far and at least one post on each page, some more, and still no slider at the top of the home page.
The only plugins I have activated are, Jetpack, 2.1.1 and ‘ultimate Coming Soon Page, 1.6.1.
Any help would be appreciated in solving this issue.
Thanks,Scott
srspicerParticipantThank you for your reply,
Went to ‘theme options’, ‘page view options’ is set to gallery as well as ‘category view’ Have I still missed something?
Thanks much.
Scot
TimParticipantIf you haven’t looked at this link, give it a try. It may solve your problems and I found it invaluable
srspicerParticipantWell tim,
Am I wrong or did you dump the theme and then come back to it. The other thing I found on the second page of the tutorial is that the theme uses Flash to upload images. Now I right clicked on the demo to make sure it did not say ‘find out more about flash. Flash is not supported by many of the touch screen phones and pads anymore because of the power it uses to function. That is one of the reasons I am re-designing my website my self, and to say a ton of money.
Thanks for the link, but the plethora of problems I see people having, I’m going to move on.
Thanks for your assistance Tim.
Thanks you Daniel for you replies as well.Regards,
Scott
TimParticipantI dumped it in frustration but reinstalled it after finding a solution to an image upload problem that had been driving me mad. And I love the theme, apart from one or two little niggles, one of which is a wordpress issue anyway.
I think you’re misunderstanding with your comments about flash. All that part of the tutorial refers to is the flash uploader wordpress uses, which allows you to drag and drop images into the image upload box. Using that is not compulsory you can upload file by file in the normal way if you want to.
