Change color surrounding header, menu, and content

What css value changes the color of the area around the header, menu, and content, I’ve tested everything and can’t find it.

Do you mean you want to change the background color?

Go to Appearance > Theme Options > Design > Custom CSS and enter

#wrapper {background: #FFFFFF; } (or any color you like)

Save Settings.
