I need to change the order of thumbnails in my gallery posts. I’ve searched the forums, looked at the media library options, tried to find options on individual photos in “select featured image,” and I’ve tried changing the gallery’s image order from “ascending” to “descending.” No luck. My thumbnails always show up with the oldest images on the top of the page.
I’m sure there’s an easy answer I’m overlooking. Suggestions please.
You should just be able to drag your images to the order you want in the gallery tab. Or maybe just number them in the little box in the Actions column. Make sure that “Order images by:” is set to “menu order”.

Tim–thanks for the info. Thanks for the video–I’ve tried those techniques with no luck. I’m wondering if I need to change something in one of my plugins. Still working on it. I’ll report back here if I get it fixed.
I just tried it again. I go to the post in question and click on the featured image, which brings me to the Flash uploader. Click on the gallery–drag & drop, etc–I’ve tried every method, save and all the numbers beside the photos, which are now in the order I want, look right. Close flash uploader, hit “update,” go to the post and everything’s still in the original order. Hmmmm.
I have the same problem with my site iprofoto.com.ua need help! Also, I cant put my images in 4 rows unless I upload the gallery, but if I do that I get duplicates of the images 🙁

Have you seen [url=http://www.onedesigns.com/support/topic.php?id=473#post-1216]this[/url] forum post about setting up four columns in the thumbnail gallery? That’s how I set mine up.
I tried changing the titles but the thumbnails insist on being displayed in order of when they were uploaded with the oldest ones on the top. I really need to have the thumbnails sorted by title. If anyone has any tips, I would appreciate them immensely!
