Compatible Slider / Gallery Plug in

Hi! Has anyone found a slider or gallery plugin that is compatible with pinboard? I would like to be able to find one to use as the home page.

It seems like every plugin I try breaks my site. The “breaks” range from totally messing up the template to messing up ‘pinterest” style alignment. I have tried nextgen Gallery, portfolio slideshow, WP- Gallery, among many, many others.

Is this for everyone or have I done something that is causing this?
